Walk a mile in my shoes---or 4

To use up time until my 1PM tour of Robben Island, I walked thru the garden surrounding the new soccer stadium. The indigenous plants provided medicine, food and beauty. The path continued to
 the Waterfront Complex.

Left: Table Mtn rising above the waterfront on this gloriously clear day (60-70F). Right: the ferry to Robben Island.

After disembarking, buses took us around the island. Then ex-prisoners led small tours of the prison where Mandela was held for 18 yrs. Right: a group cell for 30 men. We also saw the single cell where Mandela served his time.
Tomorrow should be even warmer than today for my tour of the southern Cape Province.
